Hannah's work involves an exploration of architectural forms, imagination, and play. She creates wheel-thrown forms from stoneware clay that are assembled and joined to create imagined sites, buildings, tools, and objects. The sculptures are meant to invite the viewer to consider an imaginary context or function, be it commonplace or fantastical, shifting the mind into a state of imagination and play. Hannah was raised in San Antonio, Texas, has lived in places far and wide, and now is based in Cambridge, UK.
