Sarah is a Cambridge based artist and is passionate about painting outdoors in the city and surrounding landscape, particularly being drawn to the rivers, green spaces and big skies in the area. She studied for a degree in Fine Art Painting at Norwich School of Art, graduating in 2009. After working for 10 years in art museums and galleries, and as a wedding cake decorator, she began painting ‘en plein air’ (in the open air) and was instantly hooked, now primarily producing work this way, painting out on location in all seasons.
Sarah has been selected to exhibit with The Royal Institute of Oil Painters and The Royal Society of British Artists at Mall Galleries in London, The Munnings Museum in Dedham, and has won prizes for painting at Plein Air Competition ‘Paint Out’ in Norfolk and Cambridge in 2018, 2019, and 2021. She has also been commissioned to paint the David Parr House, Clare College and St. John's College in Cambridge. Sarah has been on the Cambridge Open Studios Management Team since 2024.
