Wendy Alderton

Wendy has learnt printmaking as a student at St Barnabas Press over the last 20 years and has enjoyed experimenting with a range of traditional techniques. She found that etching using aquatint, woodcut and linocut allow her to best express her close observations of the natural world. In her animal portraits she strives to capture the expressions and essence of these beings, inviting viewers to see them as individuals with stories to tell. She celebrates the beauty of stylised landscapes with strong colours. Each print is a reflection of her connection to nature, the inspiration derived from it, and a celebration of our shared existence.
