The Aurora's Beethoven 9 encore, 21 August 2024

This multi-technique etching is my attempt to capture the essence of a 2-minute long encore in which musicians from the Aurora Orchestra (who had just played Beethoven's 9th from memory) played from among the audience - some musicians in the gangway were only 10 feet from me. The image is the distillation of still from a 90-second panning video which I took from my seat. I also drew on the BBC's broadcast of the concert.
